A Woman's Fund, Inc. operates the only domestic violence shelter in Champaign-Urbana, A Woman's Place.
Although we serve any victim of domestic violence who seeks us out, our service area consists of Champaign, Piatt, Douglas, and Ford Counties, Illinois. All services are available to victims without regard to race/ethnicity, national origin, religion, economic status, disability, sexual orientation, age, or gender.
A Woman's Place offers comprehensive assistance to victims of domestic violence. Adults and children in crisis are assisted in gaining control of their lives and in seeking a healthy environment free from abuse and violence. They are given information and counseling and are supported in making their own decisions about their lives.
