Volunteer for A Woman's Fund!

When a mother and child arrive at the hospital with bruises and no shoes, a woman is raped in her apartment, or a man awakes from nightmares about sexual abuse experienced as a child, their first call for help is often answered by a volunteer.

Whether answering our 24-hour domestic violence or sexual assault hotlines, providing advocacy at local hospitals, or providing administrative support, volunteers make a difference at A Woman's Fund.

A Woman's Fund benefits from male and female volunteers of all backgrounds, interests, and abilities. In addition to performing direct service, volunteers can organize one-day clean-up projects, answer the phones, help with filing, donate beauty services to shelter residents, change the oil in residents' cars, organize fundraisers, and inventory supplies and donations. Volunteers can even become foster fur parents by taking in the pets of women and children who live in the shelter until they move to a more permanent safe place.

RCS training Direct service volunteers undergo state-mandated 40-hour training after an interview and background check. Then they receive an orientation to their volunteer responsibilities and work closely with staff until they are confident in their role.
